I moved to NZ from San Francisco Bay Area 13 years ago and for the past 6 months I have been living in Riwaka. We chose to move to the Nelson area after the first NZ Brewers Conference when I realised I could be closer to really good hops.
I’ve been a home brewer for more than 15 years. I got my first kit as a wedding present, starting off doing brew-in-a-bag and graduating to all grain after Ian Ramsey explained how to set up my system by drawing on a paper napkin. In 2013 I won Champion Beer at the SOBA National Home Brew Competition (Joppa Stout) and haven’t brewed anything good since.Back to speakers
